What type of pig does Explode work well on?
Explode with Paylean works well on market hogs that need to improve average daily gain and carcass leanness. As with any Paylean based product, starting out with an animal that is structurally correct and square-made will often garner the most favorable results. Explode has been unanimously accepted across the show pig industry as a trusted Paylean option and has been fed to thousands of champions from coast to coast.
How does Explode differ from other Paylean supplements on the market?
Explode is different from our competitors in that it is fully fortified for an additional nutritional punch that's often needed when feeding elite show pigs. Explode is fed at a higher inclusion level than other Paylean products allowing the animal's diet to be boosted not only with Paylean, but with 23% protein and 1.6% Lysine; two critical components for building muscle.
How much Explode do I feed?
To achieve the 4.5 gram per ton level, feed 4 oz. of Explode with 5.75 lbs. of complete feed (which is 6 total pounds of product ingested) once per day or split between two feedings. To achieve the 9-gram level, feed 8 oz. of Explode along with 5.5 lbs. of complete feed once per day or split between two feedings.
Note: Paylean, the active ingredient in Explode, is approved for use in market hogs the last 21 days prior to harvest.
